Since our first remodel project with Casey’s in Itasca, MRG Construction Corp has served as Casey’s General Contractor in the Greater Chicago area.
Casey’s purchased our client, Buchanan Energy, in 2021. After this acquisition, MRG Construction’s highly experienced and capable team were charged with remodeling each and every existing general store and gas station to meet the Casey’s brand and facilities.
Each remodel required fast-paced and accurate work. Our team of skilled construction professionals at MRG Construction stood ready to meet the challenge based on our client’s stringent requirements head on!
2150 S. Highland in Lombard presented a wonderful challenge. The store in Lombard remained fully operational during the rebranding and remodel. Each aspect of this remodel was completed on time with flawless execution including the addition to a new external façade, and the entire interior of the store which was updated from the shopping area to the restrooms. The grocery and household essentials area of the store was updated quickly and efficiently to accommodate the new selection of items offered by Casey’s.
Furthermore, to accommodate Casey’s fresh-made pizza, salads, wraps and donuts, the MRG Construction team built a new full-equipped kitchen. Unlike other food stores which may only have accommodations for reheating food, Casey’s fresh-food business model demands all the amenities of a restaurant from food preparation to delivery to the customer. The MRG Construction team installed stoves, ovens, coolers, refrigeration units and all of the plumbing, electrical and infrastructure necessary to have a fully functional kitchen area. Our project management and superintendent team worked closely and collaboratively with Casey’s operations team to deliver a new shopping and eating experience in Lombard. We’re thankful that our collaboration with Casey’s continues as they expand their enterprise.
