- Building completed in 1927 and vacant for decades
- Asbestos removal in various areas – including soffits and pipe insulation
- Required detail and special coordination with the City of Chicago
- Close to 5-acre lot with a building that had to be leveled and gravel
Just east of the Midway Airport, the Sears Roebuck and Co. Retail Store was once a staple in the Chicagoland area. Built in the Englewood neighborhood during the 1920s, the store had been vacant in recent decades. The developer acquired this property and before being able to construct anything, hired MRG Construction Corp to demolish and level the building. The project lasted 8 months and was completed within our expected timeline. With this stage fully complete, the property is now ready to develop!
